Roman blinds

Made to measure for the recess or the wall above it, in our own prints. Blackout lining is offered on every one, and every blind comes with its safety device.

Cords, chains and BS EN 13120

BS EN 13120 is the British and European standard for internal blinds. It requires that a blind is supplied so that a hanging chain or cord cannot form a loop a child can reach, which is why every blind we send comes with a safety device and instructions for fitting it, and why we ask which side you want the chain.

What to check at any corded window, ours or not

  • The chain is clipped to its device, and the device is screwed into the wall or the frame.
  • The chain hangs at least 1.5 metres above the floor.
  • Nothing beside the window (a cot, a bed, a chair) could be climbed to reach it.
