Measuring for a roman blind
Measure the recess width in three places, top, middle and bottom, and give us the smallest figure. Measure the drop from the top of the recess to the sill, again in three places, and give us the smallest. Use a metal tape measure and note the figures in centimetres. For an outside-recess fit, measure the width and drop you want the blind to cover instead, and tell us how far above the recess it will be fixed. If you measure wrong, we remake it free, one remake per order within 30 days of delivery.

Every blind we make meets BS EN 13120, the UK safety standard for corded window coverings. It means the chain is kept out of reach: your blind ships with a tension device that holds the loop taut against the wall, and fitting instructions that keep it there. At any corded window, keep cords and chains away from cots, beds and anywhere a child can reach.
